Job Summary

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Care Aide to provide essential support to individuals in our home. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others and a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for a medical complex child . This role involves assisting the child with bed time routine, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.

This is a permanent position,

Hours are 30 hours a week friday,Saturday sunday

930pm- 730 am.

With some optinal extra hours on weekends of 12 hours shift 8pm-8am if family have some evening plans. But only when the HCA is comfortable with parents not home.

My son has a Tracheostomy, g-tube feeding tube, global developmental delay,dumping syndrome, severe airway collapse. But is mobile, can make sounds, but prefers sign language or using a talking device.

This is a permanent position and we are looking for just 1 overnight weekend caregiver.

The person must be able to stay awake the entire night. Must chart oxygen levels, heart rate, suction tracheostomy, give medications if needed and add food to his continuous overnight feeding.

Duties

  • Provide personal care services including dressing assistance.
  • Administer medication as prescribed and monitor client health conditions.
  • Prepare nutritious meals tailored to client dietary needs.
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and laundry to maintain a safe living environment.
  • Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote social interaction and mental stimulation.
  • Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to parent.

Experience

  • Previous experience in assisted living or nursing home settings is preferred.
  • Familiarity working with individuals with disabilities is advantageous.
  • Proven skills in caregiving, meal preparation, cleaning, and home care services are essential.
