About The Role
As an Associate Creative Director, Copy you'll conceptualize, write, pitch, and produce work with one of our largest technology clients. Our ideal candidate is team-oriented, highly skilled and infinitely imaginative writer with an eye for detail. In this role, you'll partner with art directors, account managers, creative directors, strategists, producers, and other creatives on a variety of deliverables. If you have a background in getting high-level and innovative concepts off the ground and into the world, you'll love this role.

Responsibilities

  • Develop concepts and copy for anything you could possibly throw at an integrated campaign: from taglines and scripts to concepts for digital activations and innovation pilots.
  • Write clear, resonant copy with a hyper focus on brand tone and tone of voice.
  • Be a proactive, self-starter tackling multiple briefs simultaneously in a fast paced environment.
  • Go beyond the brief with ideas on how we can push our work and concepts further.
  • Collaborate with designers, Art Directors, CD and Project Managers on large- and small-scale marketing projects.
  • Edit and proofread copy as needed.
  • Write and create compelling decks for internal and external presentations.
  • Continuously raise the bar for the quality of writing, continually developing yourself and others
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitive landscape

About You
The essentials:

  • 7+ years of copywriting experience in an agency or in-house environment.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing your work across multiple formats (Digital, Video, Social etc.) with multiple tones of voice on multiple brands.
  • Experience crafting brand voice, tone, and style guides ensuring consistent language across multiple touchpoints.
  • You combine creativity with critical thinking; your analytical approach enables you to ask the right questions and make sense of content and sales strategies.
  • You're comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment. Our CDs can rely on you to run the creative parts of a pitch or project independently.
  • Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills
  • Collaborative spirit, and problem solving mindset
  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills
  • An appetite to evolve your writing and concepting process with the continued development of AI tools and functionalities.
  • You're comfortable jumping in and out at any stage of a project—from first ideas to final words—always delivering tight work, even under tight deadlines.
  • Experience with Consumer Packaged Goods is ideal

Monks has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what Monks may pay for the position at the time of posting. Monks may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on job-related factors, but not based on a candidate's sex or any other protected status.
Salary Range$110,000—$125,000 CAD
