Position Summary
We are seeking a Marketing Assistant (Contractor) to support our marketing and business development activities within the oil and gas / energy sector. This role is well suited for a candidate with relevant industry experience, familiarity with the Canadian local market, and the ability to work independently under a contract-based arrangement.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide marketing and business support for oil and gas / energy-related projects
- Assist in planning and executing marketing initiatives, industry conferences, and client-related activities
- Support the maintenance and development of relationships with local clients, partners, and industry contacts
- Prepare, organize, and update marketing materials, presentations, and basic reports
- Assist with market research, industry trend analysis, and competitor information collection
- Coordinate with internal teams as required in accordance with the contract scope
- Complete other marketing support tasks within the agreed contract scope
Qualifications & Requirements
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in the oil & gas or energy industry
- Familiarity with the Canadian local market; existing local industry connections are an asset
- Strong communication, organizational, and execution skills
- Ability to work independently and deliver agreed outcomes under a contract arrangement
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Understanding of Chinese business culture is considered an asset
- Experience in marketing support, business support, or project coordination is preferred
