We are currently seeking a Journeyman Welder: with Millwright experience to join our West Edmonton team.

The challenges we have for you::

  • Duties are approximately 90% repair welding and 10% new fabrication
  • Ability to perform various welding techniques, including MIG or Stick, flame cutting and air arc
  • Prepare materials for welding, including cutting, and grinding
  • Repair of highway trailers
  • Repair of large and small scrap metal bins
  • Complete appropriate documentation for all service and repairs
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures
  • Other projects and duties as assigned by Supervisor

The skills we are looking for:

  • Mechanically inclined with proven experience with repairs
  • Previous Millwright training and experience considered preferred
  • Strong problem-solving and multi-tasking abilities
  • Strong verbal/written communication skills
  • Ability to work safely and maintain a safe working environment
  • A motivated, reliable, and punctual self-starter
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Journeyman Welder certificate
  • Fall Protection and Elevated Work Platform certification would be considered an asset
