 February 10, 2027

Duration:
 255 business days (Probable extension after initial mandate)

Hours:
 7.25 hours per day, Monday to Friday

Security Level:
 No Clearance Required

Must Haves:

  • Facilitating user experience design research through user interviews, diary studies, usability testing, tracking usability metrics, A/B testing, card sorting, etc.
  • Synthesize research findings into user journey maps, personas, service blueprints, and affinity maps
  • Lead design ideation and deliver service design blueprints, information architecture, wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes
  • Experience working in an agile, sprint-based development environment
  • Understanding and working knowledge of iterative product development cycles (Discovery, Agile, Beta, Live)
  • Experience with Figma user interface design software
  • Experience designing interfaces with a design system

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create effective, user-friendly, visually appealing interfaces optimized for great user experience
  • Design user interfaces for digital displays, publications, media, and creative materials
  • Take user-centered design approach with rapid testing and iteration based on user feedback
  • Conceive/conduct user research, interviews, surveys translating into sitemaps, user flows, journey maps, wireframes, mockups, prototypes

Experience and Skill Set Requirements:

User Experience / Product Design (40%):

  • Facilitating UX design research: user interviews, diary studies, usability testing, A/B testing, card sorting
  • Synthesize findings into journey maps, personas, service blueprints, affinity maps
  • Design thinking workshops for complex product/service design problems
  • Service design methods for front-end user experience and back-end infrastructure documentation
  • Lead design ideation: service blueprints, IA, wireframes, mockups, interactive prototypes
  • Deliver functional, accessible, usable, aesthetically-pleasing user interfaces
  • Collaborate with Business, Product, Development teams on design vision
  • Ego-free design: open to feedback, pragmatic approaches based on organizational needs

Communications (25%):

  • Strong communication skills for documentation (reports, reviews, assessments)
  • Present ideas clearly/effectively in user-friendly manner with high customer service
  • Communicate designs/development clearly to technical/business stakeholders
  • High emotional intelligence for stakeholder compromise and mentoring/coaching abilities

Agile Product Development (15%):

  • Agile, sprint-based development environment experience
  • Iterative product cycles knowledge (Discovery, Agile, Beta, Live)
  • Collaborate/share design tasks across multiple designers on complex deliveries
  • Conceptualize design tasks within greater product development impact

Experience (20%):

  • Medium-to-large product development/service design projects
  • Designing services/products with large organizational complexity
  • Leading strategy/execution on product/service discovery
  • Figma user interface design software experience
  • Designing interfaces with design systems

General Skills:

  • GUI designs based on user interaction/performance
  • UX/UI designer experience for web/mobile applications
  • Proficiency with design/prototyping tools, web development technology understanding
  • Online programs design emphasizing emotional human experience
  • Strategic design/user-experience decisions for core/new functions/features
  • User feedback configuration for existing interfaces
  • Team player meeting deadlines, managing priorities, client relationship management
