Hydrovac Operator

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Hydrovac Operator to join our team. In this role, you will operate hydrovac equipment to safely excavate and expose underground utilities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and operational standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in heavy equipment operation, contributing to the efficient completion of projects.

Responsibilities

• Operate hydrovac trucks and equipment for safe excavation of underground utilities.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure equipment is in safe working condition.
• Collaborate with team members to plan excavation projects effectively.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, including job site conditions and any issues encountered.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while on the job site.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment, including cleaning and minor repairs.
• Assist in loading and unloading materials as needed.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members regarding project updates.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, including loader operation, backhoe operation, bulldozer, grader operation, and paving.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Valid commercial driving license (CDL) is required.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
• Attention to detail and commitment to safety practices on the job site.

Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
