Workday Technical Engineer
Full time, direct hire

Location: Toronto, CAN – 2 days/week hybrid onsite. If you prefer remote, let's still talk, as there is flex around this.

Candidates must be fully authorized to work in Canada.

As a Workday Technical Engineer, you'll play a key role in developing and maintaining Workday integrations across Finance, HCM, and other modules. This is a backend-heavy role with a strong focus on custom banking integrations and system engineering.

Systems Development & Integration

• Lead design, development, and testing of Workday integrations
• Collaborate with internal teams and third-party vendors
• Implement and maintain payment connectors with financial institutions
• Convert functional requirements into technical specs
• Support SIT, UAT, and bug resolution
• Act as SME for custom apps integrating with Workday

Systems Support & Maintenance

• Manage tenant releases, hotfixes, and system health
• Monitor and resolve integration failures
• Configure security and access control (Okta)
• Maintain documentation and perform regular audits
• Accept and resolve 2nd/3rd level support tickets

Tech Stack & Tools

• Workday Studio, SnapLogic, FiveTran
• Python, XML/XSD/XSLT
• ETL Tools : Mulesoft, Zapier, Jitterbit
• APIs : Workday SOAP & REST
• Security : Okta

Ideal Candidate

• Senior-level developer with deep Workday integration experience
• Strong hands-on skills in custom integration development
• Comfortable with both engineering and admin responsibilities
• Workday certifications are a major plus
• No degree requirement—skills and experience matter most
• Proactive, self-driven, and ready to own the platform
