Responsibilities:
Assisting clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming, and dressingAssisting clients with instrumental activities of daily living such as light housekeeping, meal preparationMonitoring and reporting any changes in the client's condition to the healthcare teamProviding assistance with mobility and transferring patients safelySupporting patients with eating and drinking, adhering to dietary requirementsAssisting with medication reminders and medication administration under supervisionMaintaining a clean and safe environment for patientsProviding emotional support and companionship to patients and their families  
Qualifications: 
Compassionate and empathetic demeanourExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.Must be able to speak and write in English. Other languages will be an asset.  
Requirements:
Current registration with the BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker RegistryCompletion of a recognized Health Care Assistant programPrevious experience working as a Health Care Assistant in a healthcare setting (minimum 1 year)
Negative TB test completed in the past 90 daysA negative Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check issued in the past 90 daysCertification in CPR and First Aid (preferred) 
Reliable transportation and flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends  
Benefits:
$23.50-$25.50 per hourFlexible ScheduleProfessional DevelopmentPaid Training and DevelopmentOpportunities for Advancement  
Schedule: Casual/Part-Time
Day shiftEvening shiftMonday to FridayNight shiftWeekends as neededWeekends only
