About the role

Planned is an event management platform that helps companies streamline their meetings & events booking process. We make it easy for anyone to plan successful events while giving finance teams the visibility and control they need to maximize their budget. Planned already works with over 200 companies across North America, such as; PwC, L'Oréal, Google, Samsung & Airbnb.

We're on a mission to disrupt a $500+ billion industry. To achieve that, we want to work with brilliant minds and natural leaders who are driven to out-think, out-plan, and outperform the competition. We tackle every business decision with enthusiasm, and we love the work that we do

The Event Manager is a client-facing role focused on helping our enterprise clients plan and execute successful events using Planned. You'll guide clients from the moment an event is requested through to completion, acting as a trusted partner and ensuring they feel confident every step of the way.

  • Please note, this role will service our west coast clients and work in that time zone (~12pm-8pm EST)

What You'll Do

  • Own client events from start to finish, acting as industry expert in corporate events and meetings
  • Review event briefs and help identify the best vendors or venues based on client needs and budget
  • Confidently guide clients through decisions, offering recommendations and explaining options clearly and professionally
  • Ensure a seamless experience and bridge gaps between the tech and the customer experience
  • Coordinate event logistics, timelines, budgeting, and invoicing with support from internal tools and teammates
  • Communicate with vendors and partners to keep everyone aligned and moving forward
  • Stay calm and solutions-oriented when plans change, thinking on your feet and adapting quickly

What We're Looking For

  • 2+ years of experience in client-facing roles (customer success, hospitality, events, sales, support, or similar)
  • Ability to work in west coast hours (~12pm-8pm EST)
  • Executive presence - you're confident, composed, and professional when interacting with clients at all levels
  • Strong presentation skills (written and verbal) - you communicate clearly and persuasively and can offer recommendations with confidence
  • Quick learner - you figure things out on your own and under pressure and are eager to learn new tools and processes
  • Go-getter - you take initiative and don't wait to be asked
  • Calm in chaos - you're organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple client requests at once; you thrive in fast-paced environments
  • Experience planning events (corporate, school, personal, etc) is a strong bonus

What We Offer

  • Culture of high performance, strong talent density and in-person collaboration
  • Unlimited PTO
  • Competitive base pay
  • All the tools and gear you need to be successful (Macbook, screens, mouse, keyboard, ChatGPT, etc.)
  • Health, dental, vision insurance
  • Bus pass subsidy or indoor parking
  • Stocked up snacks & lunches in office 2x per week
  • Dog-friendly office
  • Relocation support, if needed

Not sure you meet all the role requirements, but have a passion for Planned and are eager to help build a great product? Apply today and let us know how you would be a great fit
