- General Construction Duties:
- Dig trenches, pour concrete, and assist in framing and building structures.
- Perform basic carpentry, painting, and finishing work.
- Read and interpret construction plans and drawings.
- Conduct basic inspections on equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Support skilled trades (carpenters, electricians, plumbers) as needed.
- Operate hand and power tools (jackhammers, saws, drills) for demolition work.
- Sort, load, and dispose of debris and recyclable materials according to site protocols.
- Assist with site preparation, shoring, and cleanup before and after demolition.
- Recognize and remedy unsafe work practices and situations.
- Comply with all health and safety rules, regulations, and legislation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free worksite.
- Communicate effectively and respectfully with clients, coworkers, and other trades.
- Mentor and motivate team members, contributing to a positive work environment.
- Experience: Minimum 1–3 years in construction, with demolition experience preferred.
- Skills: Proficient with hand and power tools, Able to lift heavy materials and work in physically demanding environments. Basic understanding of construction plans and safety protocols.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Work Location: In person
