Job Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to provide essential care and assistance to individuals in various settings, including home care environments. This role is vital in promoting the well-being, independence, and comfort of clients with diverse needs, including seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those requiring hospice or dementia care. The ideal candidate will have a genuine desire to make a positive impact on people's lives through attentive caregiving and support.

Duties

  • Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming to promote independence and dignity
  • Provide patient care including mobility assistance, medication administration, and health monitoring as needed
  • Support with meal preparation and feeding to ensure proper nutrition
  • Help with light housekeeping tasks like cleaning and maintaining a safe environment
  • Offer emotional support and companionship to clients to enhance their quality of life
  • Assist with mobility when necessary to prevent injury
  • Follow care plans accurately and communicate effectively with healthcare teams

Qualifications

  • Experience in PSW work
  • Strong caregiving skills combined with compassion and patience
  • Basic understanding of medication administration and meal preparation
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Certification in PSW
  • Must be reliable, empathetic, and committed to providing high-quality support to clients
