We are looking for an analytical and creative DevOps System Consultant for our Calgary, Edmonton, Toronto, Vancouver branches or the greater areas to design, develop, deploy, maintain, and continuously innovate Long View's automation capabilities You will be the part of our Automation Services team and work together to solve complex business problems by using integrated technology and tools. The work you do every day will help shape how cloud management technology is used to service Long View and our clients
A Day in the Life: Design, develop, deploy, maintain, and continuously improve cloud management platform solutions Gather details from internal and client subject matter experts to enhance cloud management platform efforts Build and maintain tools, solutions, and microservices associated with deployment and our operations platform, ensuring that all meet our customer service standards and reduce errors Develop frameworks and standards to create consistency in how cloud technology is used across Long View Assist in resolving situations impacting our clients Review and analyze code for accuracy and functionality Create and implement design plans What You Bring: Knowledge of software development, the software development lifecycle, and its associated technologies Strong knowledge of the following: JavaScript. PowerShell, Python, SQL and T-SQL, Dakatake, DataBricks Agile project delivery methodology Strong understanding of HTTP protocol, RESTful APIs, SDKs, SaaS models Working with and managing code repositories Strong knowledge of user interfaces and web frameworks What Makes You Extra Awesome: Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science Experience with the following: Using Puppet or Chef for automation and configuration Integrating business systems through message bus technology Open-source technologies and cloud services Technologies including LogMeIn Bold360 AI, BMC Digital Workplace Advance, BMC Helix ITSM, IPsoft IPcenter, IPsoft 1Desk, LogicMonitor, Azure DevOps, PagerDuty, Azure Service Bus, Azure Functions, Azure App Services Azure cloud development, DevOps CI/CD and data analytics Why Work at Long View: Great people and culture Work from home options Recognition programs Interesting work – Be part of exciting projects while accessing all the latest technologies
