Job Description: The social work incumbent will be required to use high order knowledge, clinical expertise and strong interpersonal skills to research, develop, implement and evaluate best practice group treatments for acute and chronic mentally disordered adults, children and youth. The incumbent will provide guidance and supervision to Mental Health clinical staff on the development of best practice models of care for common clinical presentations and will develop linkages across Mental Health/Addictions Services and the community to co-ordinate a client responsive approach to care. This position requires the ability to develop, implement and evaluate clinical pathways and programs based on best practices within a stepped care or tiered model of service delivery. "Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement"

Experience

  • Two (2) years experience in a Community Mental Health Setting
  • Experience providing counselling/treatment services

Education

  • Master of Social Work (MSW)

Licenses

  • Valid Class 5 driver's license
