The Opportunity

We're looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Cleaning Associate to keep our clinic spotless and safe for patients, clients, and staff. This position is a great part-time role for someone who takes pride in thorough, consistent cleaning and enjoys working around animals.

What You'll Do

  • Deep-clean and disinfect washrooms (toilets, sinks, faucets, mirrors, and floors).
  • Kennel Room: clean and disinfect cages/kennels, thoroughly clean cages, floors, and surfaces.
  • High/Detail Dusting: door frames and window frames/ledges, shelves, baseboards, vents, and ceiling corners.
  • Lights: wipe exterior surfaces of surgical/exam lights and other light fixtures (no bulb removal).
  • Glass: clean interior and exterior clinic windows and glass doors (streak-free).
  • Shelving & Storage: wipe and disinfect shelves, cupboards, and cabinetry (including tops).
  • Kitchen/Break Area: clean counters, sinks, appliances' exteriors, tables, and floors; empty trash/recycling.
  • Reception & Offices: dust and disinfect high-touch points (handles, switches, desks), vacuum/mop floors.
  • Floors: sweep, vacuum, and mop all assigned areas with clinic-approved products and methods.
  • Waste Handling: empty bins, replace liners, and dispose of waste per clinic protocols.
  • Infection Control: Use clinic-approved disinfectants and PPE; follow WHMIS and safety guidelines.
  • Checklists: complete cleaning checklists each shift to document completed tasks and standards.

What You Bring

Education: Secondary School (required)

Skills

  • Strong attention to detail and consistency; able to follow written protocols and checklists.
  • Comfortable working around animals and clinic smells/sounds.
  • Able to lift/move up to 50 lb. (23 kg), bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks safely.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently during set hours.
