Your Opportunity at ARC'TERYX:

As the Senior Manager, Retail Allocations - NAM you are responsible for executing Arc'teryx' product flow and merchandising vision through DTC channels for the North America region. Together with your team, you will ensure that Arc'teryx retail stores are supplied with the right product according to seasonal flow plans and are replenished at an optimal cadence and volume. You are a Change Champion and strong partner to our Commercial and Product teams, enabling the NAM retail vision.

The Merchandise Planning & Allocation team is a cross functional group whose focus is to continuously drive sales and margin, while mitigating inventory risks by finding the balance between the right product, at the right quantity, in the right place, at the right time.

If you were in the Senior Manager, Retail Allocations - NAM role now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:
    • Championing the implementation and change management of our End2End Planning solutions
  • Building, coaching and developing a high performing North American Allocations team that manages all phases of product movement within DTC Retail channels
  • Developing and monitoring performance objectives, ensuring alignment with company strategic goals
  • Collaborating closely with Merchandise Planning to ensure that planning and execution are reconciled and that the right product is available at the right place at the right time
  • Collaborating closely with Merchandising to ensure that the product assortment flow is reviewed to strategically align with other inventory stage gates
  • Partnering with our Distribution & Transportation teams to create best practices to get product, to the right place, at the right time, from pre-season, to in-season, to post-season returns
  • Collaborating closely with Operational Solutions and Retail leadership on medium to long-term process improvement projects driving revenue growth and world class guest experience
  • Consistently reviewing our product allocation and replenishment strategy and ensure it aligns with company growth and strategic objectives
  • Leading the evolution and implementation of drop review process, including stage gate development, communication, cross-functional partner enrollment and delivery of accurate reporting
  • Ensuring DTC sales results are analyzed and our allocation and forecast plan evolves according to weekly, monthly, and quarterly trends in order to maximize achievement of overall business objectives including optimizing inventory levels within plan targets ensuring that category and replenishment allocations teams are working towards and delivering company financial goals
  • Developing budgets, staffing plans, cost targets, and operational goals related to the effective execution of our merchandising and allocations strategies
  • Identifying the necessary technology, space, equipment, resources, and processes to support current forecasted growth, while also planning for future growth and foreseeing future requirements
  • Influencing and helping to shape new processes and lead the implementation of new practices and tools that improve efficiency, capability, and results
  • Upholding Fair Labor Association's Workplace Code of Conduct and Principles of Fair Labor and Responsible Sourcing, throughout the Arc'teryx supply chain

  • Collaborating with the Business Process team and Technology to serve as a primary stakeholder in the optimization and implementation of our retail replenishment systems
  • Scaling and refining our people and DTC channel operating model aligning to our corporate Long Term Strategic Plans
  • Providing connection and influence to our Allocations teams around the world, representing Arc'teryx' needs in the development of Allocations strategy
Are you our next Senior Manager, Retail Allocations - NAM?
    • You have a University degree in a relevant subject, or equivalent experience
  • You have 8+ years of experience in allocations or inventory management in a direct to consumer/vertical retail business
  • You have SAP experience
  • You have o9 Solutions experience
  • You have systems implementation and change management experience
  • You have led teams undergoing functional change
  • You have a proven ability to lead and mentor high performing teams
  • You have the ability to gather data, digest and analyze it, and from it, create an action plan
  • You have strong problem solving and decision-making skills and are able to use rigorous logic and methods to solve problems with effective solutions
  • You know how to evolve internal processes and gain momentum to make change happen, including the ability to identify and articulate the processes necessary to get things done efficiently and effectively
  • You are able to manage expectations at all levels of the organization
  • You know how to influence and prioritize, presenting ideas that lead others to action
  • You're able to identify and anticipate risks and you develop contingency plans and processes that mitigate disruptions when risks occur
  • You are able to travel on a quarterly basis at minimum, for store visits and wholesale market travel

$125,000 - $156,000 a year

A reasonable estimate of the pay range is CAD$125,000 - CAD$156,000 at the time of this posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education and/or training. The upper end of the range is typically reserved for candidates with demonstrated expertise that is above job requirements or who bring exceptional directly transferable experience.

Please note that the range details above reflect the base pay only and does not include our competitive bonus program and benefits that we offer.
