Finishing Technician

Reporting to the Production Manager, the
Finishing Technician
is part of a multi-disciplined team responsible for the preparation, sanding, stamping, priming and top coating of composite parts. We operate in a day shift environment with further opportunities for evening and back shift. This schedule allows for a mix of daytime and evening hours, making it ideal for those who appreciate a structured yet flexible routine.

In this role, you will work in one or more finishing areas focusing on parts stamping, sanding, or painting.

You will:

• Prepare and finish parts per work instructions and specifications (including but not limited to): washing, sanding, taping, crack filling, stenciling, masking, and painting.
• Perform self-quality checks.
• Identify nonconforming parts, conditions, and manufacturing processes.
• Record results per work instructions where required.
• Meet schedule and production requirements.

You have:

• Grade 12 diploma (or equivalent experience)
• 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred but not required.
• Experience in a similar role or boat and autobody repair operation would be a strong asset.
• Manual dexterity/coordination with the ability to use of power tools, cutting tools and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions and/or blueprints while following demonstrated steps.
• Basic math skills: ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in various units of measure.
• Ability to meet physical demands which include lifting and moving material weighing up to 50lbs.
• Must be able to wear a respirator and other personal protective equipment
