Candidates must be available to provide services in various settings/locations including:

• Clinic-based services (885 Progress Avenue, Suite 206)
• Community-based services (School/Daycare)

Job Summary:

As a Supervised ABA Therapist, you will work with individuals, particularly children, diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or other developmental disabilities. Your primary responsibility will be to implement Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) therapy under the supervision of a Registered Behaviour Analyst/BCBA to support clients in improving social skills, enhancing communication skills, and reducing challenging or inappropriate behaviour.

Responsibilities:

· Conduct one-on-one therapy sessions with clients to implement individualized ABA treatment plans

· Utilize positive reinforcement and behavior modification strategies to teach new skills and reduce challenging behaviors

· Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including parents, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure consistency in treatment goals

· Maintain detailed records of client progress through data collection, analysis and observation notes

· Provide feedback and support to families on implementing ABA strategies in the home environment

· Stay current on best practices in ABA therapy through ongoing training and professional development

· Must be flexible to work daytime, evenings and weekend hours in the clinic space

Skills and Qualifications:

· A College Diploma or University Degree in a related field is MANDATORY

· ABA/Autism related Diploma/Certificate is an asset

· Previous experience working in an ABA clinical setting ( minimum 6 months of experience is MANDATORY)

· Availability between 330pm-7pm Monday-Friday is MANDATORY

· Availability on Saturdays is MANDATORY

· Experience working with early learners, adolescents and young adults with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and behavioural challenges

· Proficiency in data collection and data analysis

· Knowledge of behaviour-analytic terminology and its application to behavioural intervention techniques and individualized behaviour treatment plans

· Ability to work in public school and daycare settings

· Valid driver's license and reliable transportation/access to a vehicle is an asset

• BACB/CPBAO Supervision and Mentorship will be provided to qualified successful candidates.

Successful candidates are required to complete a criminal background check (with Vulnerable Sector)
