What is the opportunity?
As an Enterprise Content Manager Developer, you will lead the technical design and development of cross-functional enterprise content management (ECM) systems. You will leverage your in-depth knowledge of ECM platforms, industry best practices, frameworks, and programming/scripting languages to deliver innovative solutions. Collaborating closely with business stakeholders and technology partners, you will identify technical requirements, design robust solutions, and validate implementations to achieve critical business OKRs (objectives and key results).
This role focuses on designing and developing enterprise-grade content management and workflow solutions for RBC's digital document and content management needs. Working within an Agile product development environment, you will enable business partners to adopt solutions quickly while delivering highly scalable, resilient, and secure systems.
This is a fantastic opportunity to develop cutting-edge ECM solutions that transform business processes into modern, AI-enabled applications while supporting the growing demands of RBC's enterprise business units.
What will you do?
You will join the Digital Operations Technology team as the Agile Software Development Technical Lead/Technical Product Owner for ECM solutions. Your responsibilities will include:
Analyze, design, develop, and implement ECM solutions using platforms such as Enterprise Content Manager(ECM) and ICN (IBM Content Navigator)
Develop and optimize document workflow processes and case management applications.
Integrate upstream and downstream applications with ECM APIs, leveraging OpenAuth/RESTful API patterns.
Design, Develop and maintain java based enterprise backend services using Spring boot.
Develop RESTful APIs to support content delivery, workflows and integrations.
Design and implement data model changes in relational databases such as MS-SQL or Oracle.
Develop and maintain automated unit tests and API integration tests.
Collaborate with Business Analysts, Quality Engineering teams, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with business needs.
Contribute to the implementation and enhancement of the CI/CD pipeline for ECM solutions.
Collaborate with DevOps team on CI/CD pipelines, configuration and environment management.
Actively participate in sprint planning sessions, working with business product owners to prioritize the product backlog.
Provide technical mentorship to junior developers, sharing best practices and guiding them to success.
Support business users and production support staff by sharing knowledge and troubleshooting issues.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have:
7 to 8+ years of application Development and maintenance experience, in the area of application development on IBM Enterprise Content Manager(ECM) and ICN (IBM Content Navigator)
Candidate would have a strong understanding of the underlying architecture and the content repository model within IBM – CM, and follow IBM best practices in developing enterprise level solutions on this platform.
Support the RESTify API development to integrate with IBM Document Management services on ECM
Strong SQL skills and DB2 hands experience on AIX and Mainframe Host.
Provide level 3 support on problem incidents and help analyze and resolve performance issues and develop problem fixes.
Experience on API integration between ECM and ICN plug-in development, working knowledge on IBM WAS (WebSphere Application Servers)
Strong Scripting language experience to help with automation, DevOps and integration to GitHub, Urban Code Deploy and Jenkins.
Exposure to Cloud deployment on OpenShift Container as application components for this platform are also hosted on premise cloud.
Java application development – Micro Service Architecture, Sprint boot
Nice to have:
Integration knowledge of document federation/retention through IBM Enterprise records (IER) Manager.
Knowledge of Micro Service architecture
Application development experience in Spring Boot a major asset
Exposure to KAFKA and IBM MQ would be very beneficial.
