OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager (Non-IT Infrastructure) to lead the delivery and governance of a DDI DNS Anycast Project for a large, regulated enterprise environment. This initiative focuses on deploying new DNS appliances to enhance resiliency, performance, and Tier 1 DNS resolution capabilities across multiple data centers.

The successful candidate will work closely with Network Engineering, Security, and Data Center Operations teams to ensure seamless deployment, compliance with enterprise standards, and minimal operational risk. This role is ideal for a structured, detail-oriented project manager with deep experience in network infrastructure, DNS architecture, and large-scale data center deployments .

Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid – remote with ability to attend Scarborough office as required)

Contract Length: 12 Months

Hours: 9 AM–5 PM EST

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and manage detailed project plans for the deployment of DDI DNS appliances across designated data centers.
  • Coordinate installation, configuration, testing, and cutover activities for DNS Anycast implementations.
  • Ensure seamless integration with existing DNS architecture, routing, and network infrastructure.
  • Track project progress, manage timelines, milestones, and budget controls.
  • Define and enforce governance standards for DNS Anycast implementation and ongoing operations.
  • Ensure adherence to organizational security, network, and compliance policies.
  • Collaborate with Network Engineering, Security, and Data Center Operations teams to resolve dependencies and risks.
  • Provide regular, clear status updates to leadership and key stakeholders, including risks, issues, and mitigation plans.
  • Identify risks related to DNS service continuity, resiliency, and appliance deployment.
  • Maintain risk registers and develop mitigation and contingency strategies.
  • Support final operational handover and project closure documentation.
  • Deploy 6 DDI appliances as Tier 1 DNS resolvers dedicated to the server farm zone in SCC & BCC data centers .
  • Deploy 6 DDI appliances as Tier 1 DNS resolvers dedicated to the server farm zone in the BRKNPV data center .
  • EMEA/APAC regions are out of scope .

QUALIFICATIONS

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of project management experience delivering network infrastructure or data center initiatives .
  • Strong understanding of DNS architecture, Anycast routing, and DDI solutions .
  • Proven experience managing deployments in large-scale enterprise data center environments .
  • Excellent stakeholder communication, coordination, and vendor management skills.
  • Proficiency with project management methodologies (Waterfall or Hybrid).
  • Hands-on experience using Clarity PPM for project tracking and reporting.

Certifications (Preferred):

  • PMP or PRINCE2
  • Networking or platform certifications such as CCNP or Infoblox
NICE-TO-HAVE
  • Familiarity with Infoblox or similar DDI platforms.
  • Experience designing or supporting high-availability DNS and global load-balancing solutions.
