Position Summary

The Customer Service Representative (Full Time) is the first point of contact for customers at North West Timbermart. This role is responsible for delivering excellent customer service, assisting customers with product selection, processing sales transactions, coordinating orders, and supporting daily store operations. The CSR ensures customers receive accurate information, timely service, and a positive shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner
  • Assist customers with inquiries, product information, pricing, and availability
  • Process sales transactions accurately using the POS system
  • Prepare quotes, sales orders, invoices, and purchase orders as required
  • Answer phone calls and respond to email inquiries promptly
  • Coordinate special orders, deliveries, and pickups with yard and warehouse staff
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date customer records
  • Support inventory checks and report low stock levels
  • Handle customer complaints and resolve issues efficiently and professionally
  • Promote store products, sales, and services to customers
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front counter and store
  • Work closely with the yard, warehouse, and management team to ensure smooth operations
  • Follow company policies, safety procedures, and best practices

Qualifications & Skills

  • Previous customer service or retail experience preferred
  • Knowledge of building materials, hardware, or construction products is an asset
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with POS systems
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Professional, positive, and customer-focused attitude
