Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for dispensing medications, providing expert patient care, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal treatment outcomes. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, medication administration, and patient safety protocols. Experience in hospital settings, acute care, and pediatrics is highly valued. The Pharmacist will play a vital role in ensuring accurate medication management and delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently in accordance with physician orders and legal regulations
  • Provide expert consultation to patients regarding medication usage, potential side effects, and interactions
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop and modify patient treatment plans
  • Monitor patient responses to medications and adjust dosages as necessary
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate patient records, including medication histories and treatment notes
  • Ensure compliance with all pharmacy laws, safety standards, and hospital policies
  • Educate patients on medication adherence, proper storage, and administration techniques
  • Oversee inventory management to ensure the availability of necessary medications while minimizing waste
  • Assist in training pharmacy interns or new staff members as needed

Experience

  • Proven experience as a Pharmacist, preferably within hospital or acute care settings
  • Strong background in pediatrics and patient care practices
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, medication administration procedures, and pharmacy software systems
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
  • Prior experience in hospital environments is highly desirable but not mandatory for highly motivated candidates willing to learn

Pay: $45.00-$50.00 per hour
