Program Type: Daycare (Ages 3–12)

Hours: 1–4 hours per week

Schedule: Part-time / Contract (Weekday, daytime)

Role Overview

The Dance Instructor will lead fun, age-appropriate dance and movement sessions designed to support coordination, rhythm, creativity, and self-confidence. Classes are playful, structured, and tailored to the developmental needs of young children.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead engaging dance and movement sessions for children ages 3–6
• Introduce basic dance concepts such as rhythm, balance, coordination, and spatial awareness
• Encourage creative expression and confidence through movement
• Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive class environment
• Adapt activities to suit varying developmental levels and abilities
• Ensure child safety and follow all centre supervision and guidance policies
• Communicate with centre staff regarding class schedules and needs

Qualifications & Requirements

• Training or experience in dance, movement, or performing arts
• Experience working with young children preferred
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search (Preferred)

Pay: $25.00 per hour
