The Role
As a Garage Decluttering Specialist, you'll be part of the crew that goes to customer homes and helps transform cluttered garages into clean, usable, organized spaces. This is hands-on, unskilled labour work with training provided—you don't need experience, just a strong work ethic and a good attitude.
What You'll Do
- Sort items into simple categories (keep, donate, recycle, dispose) and help customers make quick decisions
- Move and load items for junk removal & hauling and coordinate donation/recycling piles
- Do a final sweep/cleanup once the space is cleared
- Help set up basic organization solutions (shelving/racking/pegboards, labeled storage, simple "zones")
- Work respectfully in customers' homes—sometimes with seniors where safety, patience, and care matter

Schedule (On-Call / As-Needed)
- This is a casual, on-call role.
- Jobs are scheduled based on customer bookings; hours vary week to week.
- You'll be contacted when shifts are available and can accept based on your availability.
- Most shifts are daytime and typically run 4–8 hours depending on the job.
Growth Opportunity (Startup Path to Operations Manager)
- Vaughan Garage Care is a new business and we're building our team from the ground up.
- This role starts hands-on in the field. As you learn the process and prove reliability, you can progress to Team Lead and eventually Operations Manager.
- The Operations Manager path includes scheduling jobs, coordinating crews, managing supplies, customer communication, and quality checks.
Requirements
- Able to do physical work (standing, bending, lifting, carrying)
- Comfortable working in garages (dust, clutter, odd-shaped items)
- Respectful and professional with customers (you represent the company)
- Driver's license is a plus (not required)
Job Type: Casual
Pay: From $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 40 per week
