Position Summary:

Rise Controls is seeking a Master Electrician to support the construction, installation and maintenance of automated electrical systems. Working closely with our mechatronics engineering team, this role focuses on hands-on panelbuilding, instrumentation integration, and on-site troubleshooting . As our primary electrician, there is strong potential for future leadership growth.

What you'll do:

• Build and wire industrial control panels (PLC, VFD, safety relays, wire harnesses, instrumentation)
• Interpret and work from electrical schematics, wiring diagram and layouts
• Perform panel layouts, component mounting, and neat, standards-compliant wiring
• Install and terminate field devices including sensors, actuators, motors, IO modules, and instrumentation.
• Support system commissioning, troubleshooting, and debugging in the shop and field
• Ensure compliance with applicable electrical codes and standards (CEC, CSA, UL)
• Collaborate with engineering to improve panel designs and build practices.
• Maintain high standards for workmanship, safety, and documentation.
• Participate in continuous improvement of panel building process and standards.

What we're looking for:

• 5+ years of experience in industrial electrical systems
• Valid Certificate of Qualification (442A or 309A)
• Valid Master Electrician License
• Additional Red Seal Endorsement considered an asset
• Proven experience building and wiring industrial control panels
• Strong understanding of:
• PLC-based control systems
• VFDs and motor control
• Industrial networking (Ethernet/IP, Profinet, CAN - asset)
• Industrial safety circuits (E-stops, safety relays, safety PLCs - asset)
• Ability to read and interpret detailed electrical drawings
• Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of work quality
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team-based, customer-focused environment
• Experience in industrial settings such as mining or manufacturing preferred
• Familiarity with Northern Ontario work environments (North Bay, Sudbury) is an asset

Salary range: $75,000- $115,000

Vacation: 3 weeks
