JOB SUMMARY

EVRAZ's Information Technology Co‐op program is designed for students interested in building a career in industrial manufacturing. Our world class facilities provide students with opportunities to explore technologies that drive our operations and business activities. Co-op assignments are structured so that students develop with each new work term, positioning them to accept an increasing level of complexity and self‐reliance. Our goal is to have our co-op students fully capable of stepping into a full‐time information technology role after their degree is attained. With the collaboration of the EVRAZ Information Technology team, you will assist with various projects related to information management, database development and maintenance as well as contribute to the technical competencies and production requirements of our manufacturing facilities.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with assigned projects, contributing expertise and owning results for assigned tasks
  • Developing/supporting systems that are used in a manufacturing environment
  • GPS, Industrial Computers and RFID scanners over wireless networks
  • Assist with an integrated Client/Server environment
  • Automation and Control through a variety of industrial protocols
  • Innovate to design and develop customized process feedback
  • Performs other duties as they might be assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Computer Science or Software Systems Engineering student in good standing at a recognized post-secondary institution
  • Visual Studio VB / C# .NET Developer
  • SQL Server and Management Studio
  • SSIS/SSRS
  • Power BI
  • WPF, WCF, EDM
  • SharePoint

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Good problem solving and analytical skills
  • Strong computer skills in MS Excel, Projects and PowerPoint
  • Proven teamwork, demonstrated written and oral communication skills
  • Highly organized with an attention to detail in the administration of projects
  • Enthusiasm for learning and a passion for improving equipment reliability
