We are searching for a Junior Analyst to join our Payroll & Benefits team based in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

About the Opportunity

The Payroll and Benefits team works with more than 50 separate Collective Agreements and Terms & Conditions of Employment. The role of the Analyst relies heavily on auditing for compliance and ensuring that the system is configured in alignment with these contractual requirements.

How you will do it:

Completes all monthly, quarterly and annual scheduled audits for compensation and benefit programs.Collaborates with other department stakeholders in developing, implementing and reviewing outcomes of process improvements.Completes monthly remittances and required reportsKeeps statistical data for benefits departmentReviewing audit results with root causes analysis and reviews processes for potential improvement to close gaps.

About You

In addition to placing high value on continuous improvement, collaboration and accountability, you bring:

Post-secondary education in a related field or equivalent direct experienceUp to 3 years of experience in work that include critical thinking and analysis Strong proficiency in MS Excel (required)High attention to detail Ability to work collaboratively to achieve results and also work well independently
