Davenport Leaf is looking for part-time, and full-time sales associates.

Davenport Leaf is an independent, owner-operated cannabis retailer, focused on the local community; we are seeking candidates interested in working in a boutique-style setting that has a distinctly non-corporate environment. We are looking for good-natured associates with excellent customer service skills, are adept at relationship-building with customers, and who also have a strong foundation of cannabis-related knowledge. One of the main roles of the sales position is matching the type of experiences sought by each customer with the appropriate cannabis-related product offered at our store. The sales associate, therefore, should have an education-focus, committed to learning the details of our store's particular catalogue, and who are capable of adapting to rapidly evolving product lines. Providing a memorable in-store experience for customers through positive and informative interactions is key. This position is best suited to someone who enjoys being in a busy, active work environment, and wishes to be involved in varied aspects of the store's operations, in addition to sales. Adherence to AGCO and Federal Government cannabis-related standards, and general professional integrity is required.

Requirements:

  • Applicants must be 19 years of age or older
  • Must be in possession of CannSell certification
  • Must currently be in possession of a valid police background check (not more than 6 months old) as required by the AGCO
  • Experience in a retail, customer service or sales-oriented environment is required. A background in some aspect of cannabis retail, marketing, production, et al. will be considered when reviewing applications
  • Work references are required
