We are an established Newmarket based commercial sanitation products and cleaning supplies company and have a new opening for an experienced self-starter(s) to join our growing Team.

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently to and from our stock rooms. This role requires a strong understanding of vehicle operation and maintenance, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients. The Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety regulations.

Duties


•Operate vehicles to transport freight to designated locations in a timely manner.


•Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.


•Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage during transit.


•Utilize forklifts and other equipment for moving heavy items as needed.


•Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents that occur during transport.


•Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.


•Perform basic mechanical maintenance on vehicles to ensure optimal performance.

Qualifications


•REQUIRED: MUST LIVE IN YORK REGION


•Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is required.


•MUST have a driving abstract and have been driving independently for over 10 years in your previous positions, and must have present a verifiable clean driving record of 3 years or more


•MUST pass a criminal record check


•Strong mechanical knowledge for vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.


•Experience in moving freight, including loading and unloading cargo safely.


•Proficiency in operating forklifts and other material handling equipment is preferred.


•Excellent communication skills to interact with clients, team members, and dispatchers effectively.
