They are the reason we consistently deliver outstanding customer experiences.The OpportunityTruGreen Metal is growing across the Canadian prairies and with that comes opportunities for the right individuals to grow and advance within our company.We are looking for highly motivated and skilled individuals to come on board as Class 1 Professional Truck Drivers.The full-time position will be based out of Olds, Alberta. You will begin by working with the crew in a driving capacity delivering loads of scrap metal from our customers location to the steel mill. This position will give you a front row seat to learn how our crews operate and to potentially train for more senior roles including Skid Steer Operator and Excavator Operator/Crew Lead.How you'll spend your timeNavigating to and from different job sites.Assisting in the loading and scrap removal process which includes manual labour on the worksite.Delivering loads of scrap metal to steel mills.Assisting in servicing and securing equipment.Qualifications & ExperienceMinimum of 2 years Class 1 A driving experience with a manual transmission is required.Ability to perform physically demanding duties. Physical fitness is required with the ability to lift 50lbs or more, climb ladders, walk long distances, frequent bending and picking up objects off the ground etc.Skid steer and excavator experience is considered an asset.Off road experience is considered an asset.Mechanical aptitude is considered an asset.High degree of respect for equipment and safe work practices.Take pride and accountability in your work.Willingness to learn and develop new skills.Excellent communicator who works best in a team environment.Ability to adapt to change.Use problem solving skills while using good judgement.This position requires candidates toHave and maintain a valid Class 1 drivers license with a clean drivers abstract.Successfully complete pre-employment screening including drug and alcohol testing.Successfully complete a background check.Work extended hours and travel to various work sites with overnight stays away from home on a 5 on, 3 off schedule (4 nights on the road and 4 nights at home).What we offerConsistent work schedule with overtime opportunities.Extended health and dental benefits including vision care.Life & Disability insurance.RRSP matching program.Company events.Growth & development opportunities.Applicants must have legal authorization to work in Canada with no restrictions.All positions require background screening.
