Food Service Supervisor

Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Food Service Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our food service establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of food preparation and safety, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves supervising staff, managing restaurant functions, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards to provide a seamless dining experience for our guests.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily restaurant operations, including food preparation, serving, and kitchen activities
- Oversee food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene standards are maintained
- Manage team members through interviewing, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
- Ensure efficient use of POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling
- Monitor food quality and presentation to uphold restaurant standards
- Lead by example in providing excellent customer service and hospitality
- Enforce food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness throughout the establishment
- Assist in inventory management, ordering supplies, and controlling costs
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure satisfaction
- Support restaurant management in implementing policies and procedures
Experience
- Proven supervising experience in a food service or restaurant environment
- Extensive background in food industry roles such as food preparation, cooking, serving, or hospitality management
- Familiarity with restaurant management systems like Micros POS or similar platforms
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively
- Experience with food safety protocols and proper food handling techniques
- Background in hotel or hospitality industry is advantageous
- Previous barista experience or bar service background is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence
- Ability to manage cash handling accurately and efficiently
- Prior experience in restaurant management or supervisory roles involving team management and operational oversight
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.85-$19.50 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
