We've raised over $26.5M from Tier 1 investors such as Gradient, XYZ, and Left Lane, and we're just getting started.
About the Sales Intern role:
This is a hands-on sales internship at a fast-growing Canadian startup where you'll work closely with our Sales, Growth, and Marketing teams to help more Canadian businesses discover and adopt Venn.
You'll get exposure to the full sales funnel—from top-of-funnel prospecting to live conversations with founders and operators—while learning how modern B2B sales works at an early-stage fintech. This role is ideal for someone curious about sales, startups, and how revenue is actually built.
You'll take ownership of real projects, interact directly with customers, and develop practical sales and communication skills.
Note: This is a fully in-person role at our downtown Toronto office (Spadina & Richmond) from May–August 2026.
Depending on team priorities, your work may include:
- Supporting outbound and inbound sales efforts by researching and qualifying potential customers
- Assisting with lead generation through email, LinkedIn, and other outbound channels
- Sitting in on live sales calls and demos with founders and sales leads to learn the pitch and objections firsthand
- Helping manage and update our CRM with accurate notes, activity, and pipeline data
- Analyzing funnel performance and conversion data to identify areas for improvement
- Collaborating with Marketing to test messaging, positioning, and outreach campaigns
- Supporting special sales projects and experiments as we scale our GTM motion
This role overlaps closely with Growth and Marketing, and you'll learn how sales fits into the broader go-to-market strategy.
What we're looking for:
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree with at least one school year remaining after Summer 2026
- Strong communication skills and comfort speaking with new people
- Interest in sales, startups, fintech, or revenue-focused roles
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Curious, coachable, and willing to learn through feedback
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, in-person startup environment
Bonus points if you have:
- Previous internship, part-time, or extracurricular experience in sales, customer success, or marketing
- Experience using tools like HubSpot, Salesforce, or other CRMs
- Interest in entrepreneurship or working directly with founders
