Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Framer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for constructing and installing the structural framework of buildings, ensuring safety, precision, and quality throughout the process. This role requires a strong understanding of blueprint reading, carpentry, and heavy equipment operation, with a focus on delivering durable and accurate framing solutions for various projects including restoration, siding, and concrete forming. The position offers an opportunity to work on diverse construction sites, utilizing a wide range of hand tools and power tools to achieve project goals efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to accurately execute framing tasks.
  • Construct wall frames, floors, roofs, and other structural components using wood, steel, or concrete forms.
  • Operate heavy equipment such as cranes or forklifts safely to move materials around the site.
  • Use hand tools and power tools to cut, assemble, and install framing components with precision.
  • Perform concrete forming and finishing tasks as needed for various projects.
  • Assist with siding installation and restoration work when required.
  • Conduct heavy lifting of materials and equipment to ensure smooth workflow while adhering to safety standards.
  • Follow all safety protocols related to construction sites, including proper use of personal protective equipment.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and maintain high-quality standards.

Experience

  • Proven experience in carpentry or framing within the construction industry is preferred.
  • Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and concrete forming techniques is essential.
  • Familiarity with woodworking, siding installation, concrete finishing, welding, and restoration projects is advantageous.
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently is highly desirable.
  • Experience with hand tools and power tools used in framing and construction work is required.
  • Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work in demanding environments for extended periods is necessary. This position offers a dynamic work environment where craftsmanship and safety are prioritized.
