SAP System Administration & Operations

  • Design, install, configure, administer, and support SAP systems and databases in a private cloud SAP RISE (IBM Cloud) environment.
  • Manage and support SAP S/4HANA, SAP Fiori, SAP PO/PI, SAP BTP, Disclosure Management (DM), SAP BusinessObjects (BOBJ/AFO), GRC, MDG, and BPC landscapes.
  • Administer SAP Basis operations including transport management, standard SAP jobs, print management, and batch scheduling (Opswise).
  • Perform system integrations, upgrades, migrations, system refreshes, and client copies.
  • Execute upgrade impact analysis and implement application/system upgrades for S/4HANA, BOBJ/AFI, DM, and PI/PO.
  • Apply SAP kernel updates, core patches, security patches, and remediate SAP-reported vulnerabilities.

Security, Connectivity & Integration

  • Configure and maintain SAP Router, SSO, certificates, and secure connectivity between SAP systems and end-user workstations.
  • Manage certificate renewals and ensure compliance with enterprise security standards.
  • Configure cloud-to-cloud connectivity and integrations with non-SAP systems such as Esker, ZipHQ, and Concur.
  • Possess strong knowledge of networking concepts including firewalls, ports, and secure communication protocols.

Performance, Monitoring & Availability

  • Monitor, analyze, and optimize SAP system performance, including SAP HANA, OS, and memory management.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues such as user lockouts, work process failures, job terminations, and application/network performance bottlenecks.
  • Conduct performance tuning and proactive system health checks across all SAP environments.
  • Collaborate with SAP RISE teams to ensure high availability, disaster recovery preparedness, and operational resilience.

Change, Documentation & Collaboration

  • Administer SAP Solution Manager, including ChaRM and CTS, for change and transport management.
  • Maintain comprehensive technical documentation covering system configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Work closely with infrastructure, security, application, and integration teams to resolve cross-platform issues.
  • Manage and support SAP-related projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to scope and quality standards.

Qualifications

Technical Expertise

  • Proven hands-on experience as an SAP Basis Administrator in a private cloud S/4HANA environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, Fiori, PI/PO, BTP, Disclosure Management, BOBJ/AFI, GRC, MDG, and BPC.
  • Experience working within SAP RISE environments and collaborating with managed service providers.
  • Proficiency in Windows and Linux server administration, including agent installations, Opswise, print servers, and central file servers.
  • Experience with database administration, preferably SAP HANA.
  • Familiarity with SLD administration and technical object archiving.

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills across application, database, and network layers.
  • Excellent communication and technical documentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced, global IT environment.
