Role Description
The Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) will oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the Bloom Centre for Municipal Education, ensuring effective implementation of organizational policies, programs, and initiatives. This full-time, on-site role, located in Bon Accord, AB, requires strategic decision-making, collaboration with stakeholders, and operational leadership. The CAO will lead administrative processes, support budget planning and financial management, and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks. The successful candidate will act as a key liaison between team members, partner organizations, and the Board of Directors, supporting organizational growth and community engagement.
Qualifications
- Leadership and team management skills, including the ability to inspire and guide teams effectively
- Strategic planning, decision-making, and problem-solving capabilities
- Budget planning, financial management, and operational oversight skills
- Experience in municipal education or public administration is a strong asset
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Knowledge of legal and regulatory compliance relevant to administrative operations
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and foster positive relationships
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
- Proficiency in organizational tools and technology, with ability to adapt quickly to new systems
