Ce poste est ouvert dans le but de bâtir une nouvelle équipe pour soutenir nos installations dans la région de Saint‑Justine, Québec. Il s'agit d'une excellente occasion d'acquérir une expérience pratique en production d'œufs. Vous ferez partie d'une équipe essentielle à la ferme, chargée d'aider à préparer les oiseaux et leurs bâtiments pour qu'ils atteignent leur plein potentiel.
RESPONSABILITÉS GÉNÉRALES:
- Préparer les oiseaux pour le transport d'un poulailler à un autre site. Cela comprend le chargement des oiseaux dans des chariots et dans des camions de transport, ainsi que le déchargement des chariots vers le poulailler.
- Nettoyer les poulaillers et l'équipement à l'aide d'un jet d'eau à haute pression et de divers produits chimiques.
- Administrer des vaccins aux oiseaux.
- Effectuer d'autres tâches générales de ferme au besoin.
ENVIRONNEMENT DE TRAVAIL
- Travail dans des poulaillers et remorques de camions de transport pouvant être bruyants, odorants, chauds, humides ou poussiéreux.
- Le travail implique des mouvements physiques tels que rester debout pendant de longues périodes, s'accroupir, se pencher, s'agenouiller, ainsi que grimper et travailler en hauteur. Cela comprend soulever jusqu'à 60 lb et lever de manière répétée 10 à 15 lb.
EXPÉRIENCE DE TRAVAIL ET EXIGENCES SCOLAIRES
- Capacité à travailler en équipe.

Role: Poultry Farm Worker
Term: Permanent-Full Time
Location: Onsite St. Justine, Quebec
Reports to: Manager, Service Crew
Shift/Time: Flexible, Rotating 30-60 hours per week
Hourly Rate: $ $22.99
This role is being hired with the intention of building a new team that provides service to our locations in the St. Justine, Quebec area. This is a great opportunity for hands-on experience in egg farming. You will be working as part of an important team at the farm, to help prepare the birds and their barns to reach their full potential.
GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare birds for transport from a barn to another site. This can include loading birds into carts and onto transport trucks, as well as unloading birds from carts into the barn
· Clean barns and equipment, using high-pressure water and various chemicals
- Apply vaccinations to birds
· Other farm duties as required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
· Work in barns and transport truck trailers that can be noisy, odorous, hot, humid, and dusty
· Work involves physical movements like standing for extended periods, crouching, bending, kneeling, as well as some climbing and heights. This includes lifting upwards of 60 lbs and repetitively lifting 10-15 lbs
WORK EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
· Ability to work as part of a team
· Demonstrates positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
· Ability to perform physical tasks that require strength, coordination, and dexterity
· Ability to lift 60 lbs and must be able to lift 10-15 lbs repetitively
· Able to show up to work on time and ready to work. Willing to work until the task is complete, which can require longer hours on some shifts. Must have flexibility in respect to scheduling
· Ability to execute all tasks in a safe manner
· Comfortable around farm animals. Able to adhere to animal welfare standards. Experience with agriculture or farm animals is considered an asset
