Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification as a Physiotherapy Assistant or relevant coursework preferred.
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal kills.
  • Ability to work well in a team and follow direction.
  • Basic understanding of anatomy and physiology is a must.
  • Background in personal training or healthcare related experience is preferred.

Duties:

- Assist physiotherapists in providing patient care and treatment

- Prepare treatment areas and equipment for therapy sessions

- Escort patients to and from therapy sessions

- Assist patients with exercises and therapeutic activities

- Monitor and record patient progress during therapy sessions

- Provide support and encouragement to patients throughout their treatment

Skills:

- Experience working in healthcare setting

- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

- Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with patients and healthcare professionals

- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team

- Basic knowledge of anatomy and physiology

- Strong organizational skills to maintain patient records and treatment schedules

As a Physiotherapy Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting physiotherapists in providing high-quality care to patients. Your responsibilities will include assisting with patient care, preparing treatment areas, and providing support during therapy sessions. Key responsibilities include carrying out the prescribed treatment plan as directed and taught, documenting the clients' progress, and reporting outcomes to the assigned regulated healthcare provider.

This position requires strong organizational skills to maintain patient records and treatment schedules. You will work closely with physiotherapists as part of a team, following instructions and providing support throughout the treatment process.
