Syncoria supports clients across manufacturing, retail, wholesale/distribution, and project-based industries with end-to-end Odoo ERP services, including implementation, customization, integrations, and post-go-live support.

Role Overview

As an ERP Implementation Financial Consultant, you will play a key role in delivering Odoo ERP implementations with a focus on financial modules and end-to-end business processes. You will work directly with clients, project managers, and technical consultants to design, configure, test, and deploy financial solutions aligned with best practices and accounting standards.

You will be expected to operate independently on smaller engagements, lead financial workstreams, and contribute high-quality deliverables while supporting overall project success.

Prior hands-on experience with a full ERP system (2+ years) is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary financial subject-matter expert for Odoo ERP implementations
  • Lead and support the implementation of Odoo financial modules (Accounting, Invoicing, Assets, Budgeting, etc.) within customer organizations
  • Work closely with clients to facilitate change management and adoption throughout the ERP lifecycle
  • Provide initial and in-depth issue analysis and resolution related to financial and accounting processes
  • Assist clients with financial data migration, validation, and reconciliation
  • Ensure financial configurations align with GAAP and IFRS best practices (where applicable)
  • Write functional specifications for customizations, reports, and system integrations
  • Perform testing, validation, and solution design for all financial processes
  • Ensure proper financial controls across inventory, manufacturing, and operational workflows
  • Establish priorities and communicate effectively with project teams, customers, and project management
  • Monitor and contribute to the completion of project tasks and milestones
  • Communicate professionally with stakeholders at all levels of client organizations
  • Support user training, documentation, and post-go-live stabilization
  • Maintain relevant Odoo certifications as required by Syncoria
  • Accurately and timely enter time and expenses into the project accounting system

Travel Requirements

  • Regular travel to client sites
  • Many engagements require overnight travel during the workweek

Qualifications & Experience Required

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience working with a full ERP system (required)
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in finance or accounting roles, preferably within Manufacturing, Distribution, Retail, Job Shop, or project-based environments
  • Experience with ERP financial implementations (preferably full-cycle)
  • Strong understanding of: Month-end close, Financial consolidations, Accruals, Sub-ledger reconciliations, Financial reporting, planning, and forecasting
  • Proven ability to assist clients in implementing best-practice financial processes
  • Strong communication, organizational, and client-facing skills
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment

Preferred

  • Professional designation (CPA, CMA, CGA, CA)
  • Prior ERP consulting experience
  • Odoo certification(s)
