Vice President, Local Financial and Regulatory Reporting

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Finance team for a driven finance professional to join as Vice President, Financial and Regulatory Reporting. As an integral member of our team, you will be joining a group of collegial professionals committed to providing exceptional service.
Position Responsibilities:
- Assist with the IFRS and US GAAP close for our Canadian legal entities.
- Review local (Canadian) financial and regulatory reporting for our Canadian legal entities.
- Assist in the management of regulatory examinations and internal and external audits.
- Participate in the review of the year-end audited financial statements for the Canadian legal entities.
- Manage the implementation of, and adherence to, IFRS standards and new regulatory reporting requirements.
- Assist in investigations and addressing queries from various functional groups.
- Participate in projects as required.
- Proactively responding to changes in the regulatory environment.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned from time-to-time.
Education:
- University degree in Business, Finance or Accounting is preferred.
Qualifications:
- A professional accountant designation.
- At least 5 years of work experience (with a particular focus on financial and regulatory reporting) in the financial services industry is preferred.
- Knowledge of banking products and associated regulatory requirements is preferred.
- Excellent analytic and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to influence and gain
- support for objectives.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- AdvancedExcel skills.
