Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Construction Manager to oversee and coordinate construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills, extensive construction site experience, and proficiency with industry-standard software. This role involves managing teams, ensuring project schedules are met, and maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards. The Construction Manager will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget. This person will work jointly with the general manager as well as project supervisors and foremen. Cross shifts may require the suitable candidate to fulfill GM or Supervisory duties for short periods.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all phases of construction projects, including planning, execution, and closeout.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and other construction management software.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure project specifications are met.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and contracts to ensure accurate project execution.
  • Oversee daily operations on-site, ensuring safety protocols are followed and quality standards are maintained.
  • Manage project budgets, perform construction estimating, and track costs throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Utilize tools like ProCore, Bluebeam, Civil 3D, HeavyBid for project documentation, design review, and cost estimation.
  • Ensure timely procurement of materials and equipment while managing project timelines effectively.
  • Monitor progress through project scheduling techniques and adjust plans as necessary to meet deadlines.
  • Facilitate effective communication among all stakeholders to promote collaboration and resolve issues promptly.

Requirements

· Diploma in Construction Engineering Technology, or non North American Professional Engineering classification would also be considered.

· Have a strong grasp of the English language and be able to communicate effectively

· Be proficient with Micro Soft Office

· Proficiency with Site Docs an asset.

· 5 years construction experience preferred.

· Class 5 drivers license

· Ability to work in a remote location.

· Be a team player but also able to work solo when required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
