Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the dental team by providing exceptional patient care, assisting with procedures, and ensuring smooth daily operations. Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments in accordance with safety protocols
- Assist the dentist during various procedures, including orthodontic treatments and pediatric dentistry
- Take accurate dental radiographs using CAD technology when necessary
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care
- Manage patient records using dental software such as Open Dental and Dentrix
- Schedule appointments and handle administrative tasks related to patient care, acting as a dental receptionist when needed
- Ensure patient comfort and address any questions or concerns during visits
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sterile clinical environment in compliance with health regulations
Skills
- Proficiency in dental assisting techniques with a strong understanding of medical terminology
- Experience with dental software platforms such as Open Dental and Dentrix
- Knowledge of orthodontics, pediatrics, and general dentistry procedures
- Familiarity with CAD imaging technology for diagnostics and treatment planning
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages, including children
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a busy clinical setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills to manage patient records and appointment scheduling effectively
