Overview
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our snow removal team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience operating various types of heavy machinery on construction sites, ensuring safety, efficiency, and precision in all operations. This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes and mechanical systems, with the ability to operate equipment such as Graders, loaders, skid steers and more. Candidates with a background in construction site work and mechanical knowledge are highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Operate a variety of heavy equipment including graders, loaders, excavators, and skid steers
- Safely maneuver and control heavy machinery to perform grading, excavation, lifting, and material handling tasks.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance needs.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a secure work environment.
- Coordinate with team members to complete projects efficiently and on schedule.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to equipment usage and project progress.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as graders, loaders (including front loaders) and other relevant machinery.
- Construction site experience is essential.
- Mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment systems is preferred.
- Ability to work in physically demanding environments and lift heavy loads as required.
- Knowledge of safety standards related to heavy equipment operation on construction sites.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions.
Job Type: Seasonal
Contract length: 6 months
Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 50 per week
