Job Description:

Stephano Group LTD. is a proud, family owned, Canadian food processing company. We are seeking a highly motivated Warehouse Associate/Forklift Operator to join our team.

A Warehouse Associate/Forklift Operator is responsible for overseeing the shipping and receiving activities related to the movement of food products within our production facility. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and experience on Raymond Double Reach Forklifts.

Responsibilities:

Receiving and Inspection:

  • Receive incoming shipments of raw materials, ingredients, packaging supplies, and other items.
  • Inspect incoming goods for quality, quantity, and compliance with purchase orders and specifications.
  • Ensure proper handling, storage, and segregation of received items to prevent cross-contamination.

Inventory Management:

  • Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management systems or software.
  • Organize and store received materials in designated areas, following proper FIFO (First-In, First-Out) practices.
  • Perform regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.

Order Fulfillment:

  • Pick and provide raw materials and packaging to production based on production requests.
  • Pick, pack, and prepare finished goods for shipment according to customer requirements.
  • Ensure accurate labeling, packaging, and proper documentation of outgoing products.

Shipping and Documentation:

  • Prepare shipping documents, such as bills of lading, export/import documentation, and customs forms.
  • Generate shipping labels and ensure proper identification and traceability of shipped products.

Equipment Operation and Maintenance:

  • Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and scissor lifts to load and unload shipments.
  • Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment and report any malfunctions or damages.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and ensure the proper use of equipment to prevent accidents or injuries.

Food Safety and Quality Control:

  • Adhere to food safety regulations, including HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) guidelines.
  • Follow proper hygiene practices and maintain cleanliness in the receiving and shipping areas.
  • Conduct quality checks on incoming and outgoing products, reporting any issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Collaborate with quality control and production teams to address quality or safety concerns.

Requirements:

  • One year experience operating Raymond double reach forklift (valid certification required).
  • Attention to detail and ability to perform accurate data entry.
  • Previous experience in shipping/receiving within a food production or manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and HACCP principles.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems or software.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Physical stamina to handle manual tasks, lift heavy objects(up to 50 pounds), and stand for extended periods.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with internal teams, suppliers, and logistics providers.
  • Understanding of workplace safety practices and ability to follow relevant protocols.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour

  • Reach truck: 2 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

  • Forklift License (Reach Truck) (required)
  • Scissor Lift License (preferred)
  • Forklift License (Pallet Jack) (required)
