Intermediate Electrician

We are seeking a qualified electrical apprentice to fill a permanent full-time position. The successful candidate must be a team player and have technical experience in industrial electrical and control wiring. The candidate must also have a great attention to detail and the ability to identify and solve potential problems.

Duties and responsibilities:

·       Electrical installation and control panel assemblies

·       Read and interpret schematic drawings

·       Strong understanding of the Canadian Electrical Code

·       Layout of equipment while ensuring manufacturers installation instructions and all code requirements are adhered to.

·       Drilling holes and mounting equipment as per the general arrangement drawings

·       Install conduit and cable

·       Wire terminations of electrical equipment

·       Confirm wiring of components as they are completed.

·       Review bill of materials for accuracy and flag any errors immediately

·       Redline drawings as required during assembly

·       Review finished assembly for accuracy.

·       Occasional Site work and associated travel

·       Input weekly timesheets accurately and in a timely manner.

·       Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a high standard of conduct in the shop.

·       Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

·       Other assigned duties as required

Education:

o   High school diploma or equivalent

o   Accredited trade school or equivalent

Experience:

o   3+ Years of relevant electrical experience or equivalent

o   3+ Years as a junior electrician or equivalent
