We are currently hiring a Hard Coat Technician to work in our Mississauga, Ontario facility

Pay rate: $19 per hour 

Shifts Available: Monday to Friday 2pm – 10:30pm

What you'll do:

  • Work order invoice analysis for sorting purposes in preparation for production processing
  • Sorting surfaced work in priority level sequence according to Hard Coat Requirements & Procedures
  • Bar Code scanning and job transfer distribution from the sorting area into the department for processing
  • Lens Inspection for Surface Flaw or Defect
  • Hand Wiping SOP HOYA Technique
  • Lens Inspection after DIP Process Application for Quality Assurance
  • Conduct quality assessments. Standardized testing – (Abrasion, Adhesion, Titration, Film Thickness, Solids content)
  • Conduct basic machine operations and troubleshooting. 
  • Hard coat equipment shutdown, and startup by following required SOP's. 

Qualifications:

  • High School OSSD diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience working with Chemicals
  • Minimum one (1) year of manufacturing experience required
  • Postsecondary/graduate diploma/degree an asset
  • Optical/Chemistry training/background an asset
