Job Purpose

This position is responsible for managing inbound container operations and OE (Original Equipment) tire logistics. The role requires coordination with multiple stakeholders including suppliers, truckers, shipping lines, and OE customers, while ensuring accurate data management and timely processing of shipments.

This is a current vacancy for a net new position.

Key Responsibilities

Inbound Container Management

  • Provide weekly estimated time of arrival (ETA) updates for all outstanding inbound containers.
  • Calculate and report backorder fill rate for all outstanding inbound containers.
  • Inbound data management – Receiving date, prepull date, rail ETA, rail last free day (LFD), etc.
  • Process and manage invoices received from origin suppliers.
  • Process and reconcile invoices from trucking companies and shipping lines.
  • Monitor emails for smooth customs clearance and handle issues when they arise

OE Tire Management

  • Upon confirmation of customer Purchase Order (PO), Material Request (MR) management, create Sales Order (SO)/Delivery Order (DO), and coordinate shipment.
  • Monitor and manage Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) transactions.
  • Upon receiving Proof of Delivery (POD) from third party (3PL), post Goods Issue (GI) and process billing.
  • Prepare and submit Production Schedule Information (PSI) reports.
  • Process Goods Receipt (GR) for inbound OE containers.
  • Monitor inventory levels and manage to ensure uninterrupted supply.
  • Perform year-end inventory and adjustments.

Any other duties/responsibilities may be assigned by management.

Qualifications and skills

  • University degree or college diploma required in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 1-2 years experience in a related field is preferred.
  • Entry-level candidates with relevant internship experience will be considered.
  • Knowledge of SAP an asset.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Core Competencies

  • Strong attention to detail for data entry and documentation.
  • Understanding of container shipping and warehousing operations.
  • Positive, can-do attitude, professional demeanor, and solid teamwork skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills.
  • Possess excellent time management and organizational skills.

Working Conditions/Physical Demands

  • Works primarily in a general office environment; May occasionally travel to other business locations.
  • Primarily works normal office hours, e.g. 8:30am – 5:00pm but must be willing and able to workday or night shifts, weekends, and extended hours as occasionally required.
  • Extended periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Frequent walking and standing, visual contact and hearing.
  • Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times.

Salary Range: $53,000 to $59,000 annually (Salary will be based on qualifications and experience)
