The 2026 Quebec Winter Carnival is a premier celebration of winter culture, art, and community in Quebec. We are dedicated to creating an inclusive, fun, and unforgettable experience for visitors of all ages, highlighting local talent, activities, and traditions. Volunteers are the heart of our Carnival, helping us bring this vision to life.
We are seeking enthusiastic Paid Staff & Volunteers to join the 2026 Quebec Winter Carnival team. As a Volunteer, you will play a crucial role in supporting festival operations, engaging with attendees, and ensuring a smooth and memorable experience for all participants. This position provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in event management, public engagement, and community festival operations.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with carnival setup, takedown, and on-site operations.
- Engage with carnival attendees, provide information, and ensure a welcoming experience.
- Support event activities, games, and workshops as needed.
- Hand out promotional materials, souvenirs, and assist in crowd management.
- Collaborate with fellow volunteers and festival staff on various tasks.
- Participate in team briefings and maintain clear communication during shifts.
- Promote the carnival's mission through active engagement and friendly service.
Qualifications:
- Enthusiasm for community events, culture, and public engagement.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Reliability, punctuality, and flexibility to support various carnival tasks.
- Prior volunteer experience is a plus, but not required.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Eagerness to learn, have fun, and contribute to a successful event.
- Must be available to commit to scheduled shifts during the carnival dates.
We are looking for at least one team member with a valid food handler certificate; if you have one, it is preferable.

Nous recherchons des employés rémunérés et des bénévoles enthousiastes pour rejoindre l'équipe du Carnaval d'hiver de Québec 2026. En tant que bénévole, vous jouerez un rôle essentiel dans le soutien des opérations du festival, l'accueil du public et le bon déroulement des activités afin d'assurer une expérience fluide et mémorable pour tous les participants. Ce poste offre une occasion unique d'acquérir une expérience pratique en gestion d'événements, en interaction avec le public et en organisation de festivals communautaires.
Responsabilités
- Aider à l'installation, au démontage et aux opérations sur le site du Carnaval.
- Accueillir les visiteurs, fournir des informations et assurer une expérience chaleureuse et conviviale.
- Soutenir les activités, les jeux et les ateliers du Carnaval au besoin.
- Distribuer du matériel promotionnel et des souvenirs, et aider à la gestion de la foule.
- Collaborer avec les autres bénévoles et le personnel du festival pour diverses tâches.
- Participer aux réunions d'équipe et maintenir une communication claire durant les quarts de travail.
- Promouvoir la mission du Carnaval par un engagement actif et un service amical.
Qualifications
- Intérêt marqué pour les événements communautaires, la culture et l'interaction avec le public.
- Excellentes compétences en communication et en relations interpersonnelles.
- Capacité à travailler efficacement en équipe.
- Fiabilité, ponctualité et flexibilité pour soutenir diverses tâches liées au Carnaval.
- Une expérience de bénévolat antérieure est un atout, mais n'est pas obligatoire.
- Bon sens de l'organisation et souci du détail.
- Désir d'apprendre, de s'amuser et de contribuer au succès de l'événement.
- Disponibilité pour s'engager durant les quarts de travail prévus pendant les dates du Carnaval.
Nous recherchons au moins un membre de l'équipe possédant un certificat valide de manipulateur d'aliments ; la possession de ce certificat est considérée comme un atout.
