Job Summary:

The primary purpose of the Dental Hygienist is to ensure that patients' dental procedures are conducted in a safe, efficient, and accurate manner. The Dental Hygienist will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and maintaining high professional standards.

Essential Functions:

Understand and implement patient care protocols (e.g., post-op instructions, hand hygiene, etc.)

  • Provide patients with an excellent post-operative oral care experience
  • Provide patients with educational materials and on-site support when needed
  • Conduct routine dental hygiene tasks, including brushing, flossing, cleaning crowns, bridges, and check ups
  • Develop and maintain patient charts (including all necessary documentation)
  • Adhere to scheduled appointments and work schedule
  • Maintain accurate patient records in accordance with legal requirements
  • Develop and maintain relationships with dentists and other dental professionals to promote patient care
  • Collaborate with the office manager on new patient intake and marketing efforts
  • Develop and maintain quality clinical documentation for patients (including charts)
  • Develop and maintain relationships with other dental professionals to promote patient care standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
