The Director, MarTech & Personalization role offers an opportunity to lead the transformation of Manulife Investment Management's Personalization ecosystem, advancing how we personalize, automate, and deliver exceptional digital-first experiences. As Director, MarTech & Personalization, you will shape the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of technologies and journeys that power customer-centric marketing. You will work at the intersection of marketing, data, and technology, collaborating with leaders to bring our digital ambitions to life through measurable impact and scalable innovation. Position Responsibilities

  • Lead the execution of MarTech and Personalization initiatives outlined in the strategic roadmap, ensuring alignment with business objectives and measurable delivery outcomes.
  • Drive adoption and change management of new platforms across marketing and business teams, empowering partners to leverage platforms for improved engagement and performance.
  • Provide strategic consultation to marketing, data, and technology leaders on personalization, automation, and experimentation to inform marketing strategy and business growth.
  • Lead cross-functional, Agile teams to define, design, and launch new digital marketing functionalities that advance customer-centric omnichannel experiences.
  • Mentor teams and business partners on data-driven decisioning, journey orchestration, and optimization practices.
  • Oversee governance, project timelines, and budgets to ensure operational excellence, alignment with enterprise marketing strategy, and value realization.
  • Stay ahead of digital and MarTech trends, recommending new technologies and innovations that elevate marketing performance and customer experience.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of proven experience leading digital transformation and marketing technology initiatives.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Adobe platforms (e.g., Adobe Experience Platform, CDP, AJO/Marketo, CJA, Target, AEM, DAM)
  • Demonstrated leadership of Agile teams and proficiency with project management tools such as Workfront, JIRA, and Confluence.
  • Post-secondary degree in marketing, business, or technology.
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills, with a track record of leading cross-functional delivery in matrixed environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of the financial services industry.
  • Deep intellectual curiosity and ability to connect strategy to execution across complex portfolios, audiences, and technologies.
  • Experience integrating marketing technology with analytics, data, and customer journey platforms.
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled personalization, segmentation, and next-best-action frameworks.
  • Proven experience using technology and automation to accelerate business growth and marketing ROI.

Salary range is expected to be between
$116,000.00 CAD - $166,000.00 CAD
