Job Summary

We are a multi-unit complex in search of a Facilities Coordinator to join our team. This is a dynamic and team focused environment seeking a dependable, hands-on individual to oversee the day-to-day upkeep, repairs and grounds of the property. Individual must be a self-starter, comfortable with general repairs, using tools and has experience with the Microsoft suites. This position is predominantly a working role however some office work will be required.

Duties

  • Regular monitoring of interior and exterior of buildings, providing advice on large repairs and completing minor repairs as required.
  • Preventative maintenance work as outlined by the business.
  • Grounds management- performing sidewalk snow removal, lawn care of common areas, advising yard maintenance advice and ensuring equipment is in good working order.
  • Routine maintenance/repairs/replacement- Perform minor repairs within the scope of ability on equipment, property and units.
  • Manage/coordinate contractors on site when required for repairs or replacement.
  • Office work- email, memos and coordination of inspections as required. Inventory, budgeting and reporting will be required on a consistent basis.
  • Must provide prompt, courteous and effective responses to community, public and other staff.
  • Individual must be confident in working independently and being accountable for their time and finances of the business.

Skills

  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
  • Must have Grade 12 or equivalent education
  • 3+ years experience in general property and building maintenance
  • Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical and carpentry
  • Ability to work independently and manage a variety of tasks each day
  • Strong communication, organizational and problem solving skills
  • Microsoft suite knowledge
  • Good interpersonal skills and abilities
  • Valid drivers license and reliable working vehicle

Compensation

  • Competitive salary to be determined based on experience and qualifications

  • Schedule is Monday to Friday 830am-500pm

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
