Together, we are delivering Accelerator, a major program of Pearson LIFT (Long-term Investment in Facilities and Terminals), Toronto Pearson's infrastructure development plan. This multi-year program is designed to address immediate passenger growth demands while preparing Canada's largest airport for the future of air travel—including critical upgrades to airfield and infrastructure, greenhouse gas reduction initiatives, modernization of Terminals 1 and 3, and the creation of a world-class passenger experience.

JOB SUMMARY

The Quality Coordinator supports the Quality Manager in implementing quality assurance activities across assigned project areas within the Airfield Electrical & Civil Sub-Program. This role focuses on ensuring that documentation, materials, and construction activities conform to approved standards, designs, and codes, particularly under ESA requirements. The role combines strong electrical or civil technical knowledge with documentation and communication skills to maintain compliance and project integrity.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in implementing and maintaining the project's Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Support preparation and review of ITPs, NCRs, checklists, and test records.
  • Coordinate QA/QC documentation flow between subcontractors, engineering, and site teams.
  • Conduct field verification of work against drawings, standards, and approved procedures.
  • Maintain logs of audits, non-conformances, and corrective actions.
  • Participate in internal quality audits and vendor document reviews.
  • Support lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Prepare quality reports, inspection summaries, and test packages for turnover.
  • Collaborate closely with construction leads, superintendents, and third-party inspectors.
  • Provide administrative and technical support to ensure adherence to ESA and GTAA quality requirements.

WORK CONDITIONS  
Based at project offices in Mississauga, with frequent visits to airside and terminal construction zones. Full-time, Monday to Friday, approx. 8:00am–5:00pm (1-hour lunch or as agreed).  RAIC clearance and Criminal Background Check are mandatory due to airport security requirements.

DESIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, COMPETENCIES 

  • Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering technology or equivalent trade certification.
  • Journeyperson / Red Seal (Industrial Electrician or equivalent) preferred.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in quality assurance or construction coordination within industrial or infrastructure projects.
  • Minimum 3 years of Canadian industrial experience with ESA familiarity.
  • Working knowledge of QA/QC procedures, documentation, and inspection/testing workflows.
  • Strong computer and documentation skills (MS Office, SharePoint, or QMS tools).
  • Excellent attention to detail, communication, and organization skills.
